A warm welcome awaits you at the Slaters Arms in Cannich, Strathglass - the gateway to the magnificent Glen Affric. The present owners have tastefully renovated the premises to a high standard over recent years. The refurbishment has included adding a sun-room and an extensive decked area at the rear of the restaurant, allowing visitors to enjoy the excellent views along Strathglass towards the hills of Cougie & Glen Affric.

New for 2010, the Slaters Arms is proud to offer superb self-catering holiday accommodation in the form of four timber cabins situated at the rear of the premises and again enjoying the outstanding views. The cabins are equipped with everything you could possibly need and much more.

Cannich is at the centre of one of Scotland’s most scenic areas, surrounded by lochs, mountains, rivers, waterfalls and wildlife encompassing two National Nature Reserves and an RSPB Reserve. Roads from the village lead into Glen Cannich, Glen Affric, Glen Strathfarrar & Glen Urquhart. The Glen Affric NNR covers almost 36,000 acres and runs mainly East to West through Glen Affric at the top of Strathglass. The Slaters Arms in Cannich is an ideal base to explore all of these features. For the walker there are 18 Munros in the area while our rivers are renowned for the quality of salmon & trout fishing.

We have WiFi, books & magazines, cards, dominos, a pool table, a piano, a guitar, a bodhran, a chanter & some whistles for anyone who wants to entertain for the night. We also have occasional live music and karaoke during the summer season. When the weather is cooler you can soak up the warm cosy atmosphere in front of an open fire while you feast on the excellent home cooking on offer and get to know the locals & our Cocker Spaniel, Kyle.
